A media technologist who went deep on ML

I study Machine Learning at KTH within the Media Technology engineering programme, with exchange studies at TU Delft. I care about the space where research-grade models meet products people actually use.

The Media Technology programme at KTH trained me to think about systems and the people using them at the same time: signal processing and statistics on one side, interaction design and evaluation on the other. Specialising in Machine Learning gave that instinct sharper tools — modelling, experiment design, and a healthy scepticism toward numbers that look too good.

My exchange semester at TU Delft added an international, research-driven perspective and a stronger appetite for rigour. Today I am most interested in modern ML systems — language models, retrieval, and evaluation — and in the engineering craft that turns a promising notebook into something dependable.

I am looking for a master's thesis project for 2027 and for teams — startups or research groups — where careful work matters.

Snusless

SnusLess explores how AI can personalize interventions to help users reduce nicotine pouch consumption. Using reinforcement learning and simulated user behavior, the system adapts interventions based on factors such as cravings, context, motivation, and intervention fatigue. The intervention mechanisms are grounded in motivation theory, with an emphasis on user autonomy and transparency around how and why the AI provides recommendations. The project demonstrates how adaptive AI can support behavior change while balancing effectiveness with human-centered design.

Snusless

SnusLess is an AI-driven concept designed to help users reduce their nicotine pouch consumption through personalized, context-aware interventions. The project uses reinforcement learning and a POMDP-based approach to adapt recommendations based on factors such as cravings, user behavior, triggers, motivation, and intervention fatigue. Through simulated users, we explored whether adaptive interventions could outperform static strategies in supporting long-term behavior change.

    Looking for a thesis project worth a full year of attention

    In 2027 I will write my master's thesis in machine learning. I am looking for a company or research group with a real, hard problem — language models and agents, retrieval, evaluation and reliability, or applied ML in a media or product context. I bring an engineering mindset, research discipline, and the patience to make results trustworthy rather than impressive.
